Description: 400,000 units of tobicillin/g
Active Ingredient: Tobicillin
Formulation: 400,000 units of tobicillin and 1mg of butyl-hydroxy-anizol per 1g. Target Species: Fish in the order of Perciformes: Examples: yellowtail, Red sea bream, Japanese horse mackerel, tilapia Key Benefits:
- Fujipenin* is highly safe and palatable.
- Shows excellent effect against Lactococcus garvieae, the causative bacteria of streptococcosis in yellowtail.
- Readily absorbed into fish body and hydrolyzed into benzyl penicillin (PCG). It is distributed rapidly especially in the spleen and the kidney.
- In clinical studies on Lactococcus garvieae infection in yellowtail, Fujipenin* showed superior treatment results with a daily dosage of TBPC 100,000 units per 1 kg of fish weight. In vitro studies have shown that Lactococcus garvieae isolated from fish are highly sensitive to PCG and no resistant strains were observed.
Label Indications: For the treatment of streptococcosis caused by Lactococcus garvieae in Perciformes. Reduction of death rate of fish with following disease caused by benzyl penicillin sensitive strains of Lactococcus garvieae. Dosage and Administration: To be administered with feed at 100,000 units per kg bodyweight per day for 5 consecutive days.
