 Bicomarin* 5% Powder

Description: 5g (potency) of bicozamycin benzoate in 100g.
Acive Ingredient: Bicozamycin benzoate
Formulation: 5% bicozamycin / 95% inert ingredients. Target Species: Fish in the order of Perciformes (yellowtail, amberjack, sea bream, tilapia, sea bass, horse mackerel, etc.). Key Benefits:
- Bicozamycin benzoate is an antibiotic only for animal use.
- Bicomarin is a bicozamycin pro-drug aimed to enhance oral absorption.
- Bicomarin possesses excellent antibacterial activity against Photobacterium damselae sp. piscicida (formerly Pasteurella piscicida), causative organism of pseudotuberculosis.
- Its mode of action is cell wall synthesis inhibition and is bactericidal.
- Bicomarin is effective against multiple antibiotic resistant bacteria and is not transferred through
R plasmids.
- Bicomarin is highly safe and shows no influence on appetite at recommended dose.
- Bicomarin is naturally degraded and has minimal environmental effects.
Label Indications: Reduction of death rate by following fish disease caused by bicozamycin sensitive strains of Photobacterium damselae sp. piscicida (formerly Pasteurella piscicida). For the treatment of pseudotuberculosis in Perciformes (yellowtail, amberjack, sea bream, tilapia, sea bass, horse mackerel). Dosage and Administration: To be administered with feed at 10mg per kg body weight per day for 5 consecutive days.
