AquaVac* Vibrio 


Description: Aqueous, inactivated Vibrio anguillarum Biotype I and II vaccine for the prevention of vibriosis in healthy fish.

Formulation: Inactivated cultures of Vibrio anguillarum Biotype I and  II.

Target Species: Salmonids, Dicentrarchus labrax (sea bass).

Key Benefits:

  • Forms part of a Total Protection Strategy against vibriosis as the priming dose for AquaVac* Vibrio Oral.

Label Indications: This product is recommended for use in healthy fish of 3g and larger to prevent vibriosis caused by two strains of Vibrio anguillarum.

Dosage and Administration:

Immersion - Vaccination Method
1 liter treats 100kg of fish.

1. Dilute 1 liter of vaccine with 9 liters of clean hatchery water.
2. Drain and weigh a net full of fish and dip fish in the diluted vaccine for 30 seconds ensuring that fish are totally immersed in the vaccine.
3. After 30 seconds exposure lift net, allow to drain and return fish to holding tank.
4. Repeat until 100 kg of fish have been dipped into 10 liters of diluted vaccine.

When convenient more than 1 liter of vaccine may be diluted in a single bath. In such cases the weight of fish which may be dipped will be 100 kg x the number of liters of vaccine used.

Injection - Vaccination Method
Dosage Rate: Intraperitoneal injection of 0.1ml per fish of minimum size 12 g.

Withdrawal time: Zero days.**

Product Presentation:
AquaVac* Vibrio is available in 1 liter high-density polyethylene bottles.
Storage Conditions: Store at 2oC to 8oC. Do not freeze. Protect from light. Use entire contents when first opened.
Precautions:

  • Minimum fish size: 3g.
  • Coldwater Species: At 10oC, 14-21 days should be allowed before fish are exposed to infection.
  • Warmwater Species: At 18oC, 14 days should be allowed before fish are exposed to infection.
  • Minimum size: 5 g. Vaccine-treated feed should be used within 19 days of preparation.
